Reference: Williams- The Collectors Book of German Bayonets Part Two- ES 13
Modified to fit the Enfield. Type A hilt with a British P1853 blade. The British markings are mostly obscured and over stamped with two German inspection stamps. CTS is stamped on the hilt near the guard. The mortise slot has been cut for the Enfield rifle and the muzzle ring reshaped. Nice example and scarce.
