Horn grips. #28 on the crossguard. Made in very limited numbers for a commercial carbine ca 1865-70. Some of these were requisitioned during the Siege of Paris in 1870. The blade and hilt condition is beautiful. The repaired dent on the front. The blade fits perfectly in the scabbard.
