Very rare example from a very rare maker. Ferlach in Austria. Ferlach had a unique numbering system from 1939 through much of 1944. Sometime in 1944 they started using the same serial number and block system as the other makers. These examples are rare and block letters beyond C are very rare. The F block is the last known completed production from Ferlach. Marked 4 on the spine for 1944. Serial number is 14 Block F. The scabbard is non matching but is also Ferlach from 1940. The phosphate finish has corroded oddly coming off in chunks. It is stable now and not flaking. The blade is fantastic with original machine marks and finish. No sharpening. The button works well. A very rare and interesting bayonet.
