W15 by Erfurt and Gottlieb Hammesfahr. Scarce maker combo. Carter only found 4 examples when publishing his book series. There is a W stamped in the curved top of the cross guard. The same position as normally seen on a/A transitional bayonets. Carter mentions see one example marked in this location but the meaning is unclear. The blade and hilt fittings are bright without pitting. There is some hammering of the flash guard with a bit of grip damage resulting as well. The scabbard has a small dent on the rear with some areas of mild corrosion as well.
