Reference: Williams- The Collectors Book of German Bayonets Part One- No 90-91
Hannoverian hirschfanger for the Jaegerbuchse M1838. The Hannover version of the Baker sword bayonet. Its been 6 years since I had one of these available for sale. The shell languet is unit marked III.L.C.212.*. There is also the co-joined ST mark of August Stormer stamped into the brass languet. He operated at Herzberg in the 1830-40s. I have seen many of these with the ST monogram on the blade- never on the languet. The condition is fantastic. No discounts on this one. If it doesn't sell quickly it is going in my personal collection.
