The Dutch company Staatsbedrijf Artillerie Inrichtingen Hembrug-Zaandam (A.I.) modified 2700 FN-Mausers made in the late 40s for Dutch Police units in the Dutch East Indies. Modifications included converting the carbines to 7.62 Nato caliber and modifying the bayonet adaper to fix this new style of Dutch made bayonet. The forerunner of the AR-10 bayonets soon to come. This carbine and bayonet were issued to the Papoea Vounteer Korps in the former Dutch New Guinea- now part of Indonesia. This example is as close to mint as you can imagine. You can't upgrade this one.
