Probably one of the ones that were sent to Spain during the Peninsular Wars. I believe that it was a British made bayonet modified a bit in Spain. There is a groove cut around the shank and Spanish style numbers on the ricasso. The bridge has also been removed. I purchased this in Madrid over 20 years ago.
